Turn Boring B-Roll into a Must-Watch Video

We recently got handed a challenge: 1 minute and 45 seconds of raw drone footage from a Nike event for the Caruso company at their property, The Grove. No VO. No interviews. Just sweeping shots of people, parking lots, and a pop-up that turned a rooftop into a brand playground.

Our task? Cut it into an engaging sizzle for social. Here's how we made it sing:

  1. Pick the Right Track – Music sets the vibe. We skipped stock-sounding background tracks for something with bounce and energy.

  2. Add Sound Design – Sneakers hitting pavement, trolley wheels turning, cheers in the distance. Layering in subtle sound helps everything feel more alive.

  3. Build in Transitions – We found clever ways to cut from rooftop to street-level, adding rhythm and flow instead of just stacking clips.

  4. Tell a Story – Even B-roll can have a beginning, middle, and end. The trolley arriving, people gearing up, the rooftop buzz, then the trolley heading out again. It’s subtle, but it gives the video shape.

Whether we’re handed the footage or capturing it ourselves, at CCH we know how to find the heartbeat of a moment—and like this Caruso x Nike Video, turn it into content that gets noticed.
